Web page design involves planning, modeling, and executing electronic media content and its liberating through the Internet using technologies such as markup languages suitable for rendering and presentation by web-based graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
The objective of web design is to make a web site that presents content to the end user in the form of web pages upon demand. Elements such as text, forms, and bit-mapped images (GIFs, JPEGs, PNGs) can be placed on the page using HTML, XHTML, or XML tags. Illustrating more complex media such as vector graphics, animations, videos, sounds requires browsers to incorporate optional plug-ins, such as Flash, QuickTime, and Java run-time environment and Other plug-ins are embedded in web pages, using HTML or XHTML tags.
A web site is a cluster of information about a particular topic or subject. Designing a web site is termed as the arrangement and making of web pages that in turn make up a web site.
